3rd SCHOOL RECORD IN A ROW FOR GCSE PASSES !! Â
85% 5+ A*-C GCSE passes (Contextual Value Added 1026)

Â

The school community celebrated in style with its GCSE record, (which was set last year), absolutely smashed! This is our 3rd record score in a row and demonstrates the school’s fantastic upward trend of results : 45% increase over the last 3 years.
85% of our young people achieved 5 or more GCSE passes at A*-C. This is a massive increase of 28% from last year and 25% ABOVE our agreed target. This is the second highest result in the Local Authority and the second highest result ever achieved by a school in the Authority.
Another school record was set for 5+ A*-C GCSE passes including English & Maths: 49% of Year 11 achieved this benchmark, which is 14% up on last year and significantly 4% ABOVE our target. However, this latter result is provisional at the moment, as we are encouraged that it will rise to 50%.Â
A number of Departments achieved sensational results which were even higher than the school average: Sport -100% A*-C; ICT 97%; Media Studies 88%. Full Departmental results will be published in due course.
I am also delighted with the 5+ A*-G GCSE passes, which were a record 98.9% -the second highest result in the Authority. We achieved the same result (98.9%) for 5+ A*-G GCSE passes including English & Maths. Yet another school record!
The school's Contextual Value Added score is 1026. This measure indicates the level of value we add to a student's performance and attainment. A score of 1000 is the standard measure, so this score is a great result for the school, as it demonstrates that on average, each student has achieved one grade higher than predicted, in at least 4 GCSE subjects overall. This places St. Peter's in the top 10% of schools nationally for Contextual Value Added. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WHOLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY.
I would like to thank the staff at St. Peter’s who have shown so much dedication and worked so hard with our young people. Grateful thanks to our parents, who have supported us during the last 12 months and congratulations to all of Year 11, who have broken all school records. Their success is well deserved and I am very proud of them all.  |
