Pupils must not disclode thier username and/or password to any other user for any reason whatsoever, or knowingly let anyone login with their account details as they will be held responsible for any activity on their account.
Pupils will not interfere with other pupils enjoyment and use of the Internet. Pupils will not attempt to bypass any security measures on the PC's or Internet
The Internet may not be used for illegal or unlawful purposes, including, copyright infringement, obscenity, libel, slander, fraud, defamation, plagiarism, harassment, intimidation, forgery, impersonation, illegal gambling, soliciting for illegal pyramid schemes, and computer tampering (e.g. spreading computer viruses).
The Internet may not be used in any way that violates St. Peter's School policies and rules.
Pupils may not view, copy, alter, or destroy data, software, documentation, or data communications belonging to St. Peter's School or another individual without authorised permission.
Pupils should not send unreasonably large electronic mail attachments.
Attempting to obtain another user's account password is not allowed. Pupils are required to obtain a new password if they believe that anyone else knows their password. Pupils are required to take all necessary precautions to prevent unauthorised access to their account.
Violation of this policy will be treated like other allegations of inappropriate behaviour and will be delt with accordingly , this may include :-Â
- 1. Temporary or permanent revocation of access to some or all computing and networking resources and facilities;
- 2. Disciplinary action according to applicable St. Peter's School policies;
- 3. In extreme cases legal action according to applicable laws.
St. Peter's School may monitor any Internet & email activity occurring on School equipment or accounts. St. Peter's School uses Web & Email filtering software to limit access to sites on the Internet and for the scanning of incoming email. If St.Peter's School discovers activities which do not comply with applicable law or School policy, records retrieved may be used to document the wrongful content in accordance with due process.Â
Users are solely responsible for any material that they access and send through the Internet.
