The schools special education provision has received significant external recognition. The school's priority is to meet the needs of those pupils with any kind of statement of special educational need, but our aim is also to identify all pupils with any kind of learning need and provide teaching and resources to address those needs.

During the spring term 1998 a purpose built room was provided with Successmaker computer facilities to provide an up to date learning resource. The program allows pupils to work at their own pace under the supervision of our staff. We have specialist staff providing learning support and behavior support for pupils in the school.
