So what is a Learning Mentor ?
A learning mentor is a non-teaching member of staff who works with students to break down any barriers to learning and who helps raise aspirations and achievement.

- Offer practical help and strategies
- Listen to you
- Work with you one to one or in small groups
- Support you in the classroom
- Help you make the best choices about moving on to college, training or work

When can I see one ?
Our Learning Mentors will see students by appointment (apart from the drop in service) and each session will last approximately 30 minutes. You will be seen on a regular basis, depending on need. This may be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or termly. |
